Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer outlined their growth targets for the Xbox during his annual “Strategic Update” for Wall Street analysts. Ballmer told investors to watch Microsoft continue to push for broader Xbox acceptance in less popular markets like continental Europe and Japan. Ballmer said they also plan to attract "non-classic gamers" so that they continue to build their market share.

Xbox: When Microsoft talks about hardware, it mostly is talking about Xbox. Ballmer said to watch for Microsoft to continue to push for broader Xbox acceptance in markets where it has been less popular, like continental Europe and Japan. Also watch for the company to do more outreach to non-classic gamers in order to continue to build Xbox market share.

MS's problem is that it never knows what to do until someone else has already done it. It's not like casual gaming is the first example.. The biggest example I can think of is "The Internet". I think J Allard was actually one of the first people around there to make them wake up and smell the coffee on that.

well if they gave us US prices I would have it already, i'm not gonna pay €400 for $400 console... same goes for sony, get your prices fixed and then we can talk. It's not a small price difference either, what do they think that we europeans grow money on trees?

I agree with the square-enix thing, but also we need more Japanese games period. RPGs are a huge lack in the 360. I am not a huge of a fan of games such as W.O.W. (if that is even on there) or Oblivion. They seem fun but I have always been a fan of games such as Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, etc. It's like the first things that come to mind when I think about 360 are shooting games. I can only shoot, kill, sneak, blowup, and plasma sword so many times in a game. (Not in any specific order) Only the future will tell if I have decided on the correct console of choice.
