i really want cfw and the only way i can do that is by hardmodding the battery for pandora, so is there a way i can do it without soldering mybe just like a pin or something.

If you are affraid to hardmod or just don't want to ruin a perfectly good battery and then turn around and buy a new one and don't know anyone that could help you out, then goto www.codejunkies.com and buy the Datel TOOL battery for the original psp fat (don't get the slim even if you have it since the fat battery is compatible with both :) ). Good luck on your road to cfw.

The only reason to de-solder the pin is so that you can re-solder it make you make your battery work like normal again. You can break the leg of the chip to give yourself a permanent pandora battery.

I had the same problem as you for a really long time, debating whether to solder it or not, but I found you don't have to actually clip any pins, you do have to open the battery though, and what you do is instead of clipping the pin, you use a jumper wire(or if you don't have one, use a paperclip, it should work) and connect the two points to make a short, and hold that while putting the battery back in the PSP... it worked for me, but was kind of difficult to hold, but after that, I just had to use the pandora stick to change the battery serial... I can try to find a picture if you'd like?

This can be done with the older battery also by shorting a link between two of the resistors.
