I read that the NDS's coming out at the moment had been 'fixed' so you couldn't use a PASSME in them. But are you still able to load FLASHME via wifime and bridging the screw able to flash the firmware on these new units?
I've heard that too, but I cannot confirm it to be true. It seems that it would be possible.

I'm sure hoping so! I wanted to get a colored DS for my wife, but I want to hold off untill I know I can do flashme.

I was under the impression that flashme was patching the ds firmware wrather than entirely replacing it (a full pre-patched firmware would be wrather illegal and unlikely to be released by those dev'rs freely as the origional firmware contains big N's code)
Tough to say for sure if there was some form of fix to the new firmware that flashme doesn't overwrite without having a B/N DS with this supposed passme update... but it could definitely be possible.

you can pick up a wifi card for your pc that can flash it for slightly more than a passme costs, and it has a few more uses than a passme so i dont see it as a big problem

I would not get a Red DS or so until Loopy and the others making the FlashMe show proof that its possible.
So far I think its NOT.

Did you try the A+B+L+R (I think) reset to flash it again, or restore it to the original state? You say nothing works, so the console don't turn on at all, or nothing happens when it is on.

I would also like someone to confirm if you can flash one of the new DSes (I have the red MK one), specifically with WiFime. I don't want to have to buy another piece of hardware, especially considering I purchased the proper wifi card to be able to do this for one of the older DSes.
So someone please verify this for us all:
1) Can the new DSes (i.e. red) be flashed with the latest FlashMe?
2) Does it work through WiFime, as it did for the old DSes?

First off, this is an old topic brought from the dead. You can find more information by searching a little more.
1)Yes
2)No, not yet anyway. You will need a passme2 to get flashme on your new NDS.
I more thing... I haven't hear if the new red MK DS (U) is the new version or not. I know that the red (E) NDS are the new ones but the red (J) wern't. Anyway, I think they are the new version, but I could be wrong.

The red us mario kart has a yellow background screens when you do the pictochat catridge removal. see this page http://pineight.com/ds/pass/
also anyone know when the redesigned NDS will be out? i think they will go for a wider version of the clamshell GBA, so it looks like one piece when its closed
