well that accomplishes two things
1: Hundred times more exclusives than 360
2:A nail in 360's coffin along which will be buried besides HDDVD

No point in this. If your pc can play crysis at a decent speed you should have an hdcp compatible dvi port anway... just plug in a dvi-hdmi cable.

the point is that you do not have to have ur pc plugged into the tv or even in the same room. Gaming pcs are usually hotloud and ugly (unless u r a total dork and kit it out) so its better to keep them somewhere you guests wont c them/
I would personally not use it but nice feature for those who like this thing . Does ubuntu have any good video players, vlc sucks balls, sumthing that can play 1080p mkv files

Thats some Pur3 BulL$h1T right there.
Every1 that has a gaming pc usually puts quite a lot of time in building, overclocking them. And gamer pc's usually have beautiful cases. (as my APEVIA case)
I have 2x 8800gtx running in sli and a Q6600 overclocked @ 3.2 Ghz.
I cant even hear my pc running :D its uber quiet!
OW and btw
Xb0tT3rZ got pwned yet again :D

Agree with you why bother going to all that trouble when an DVI to HDMI cable for about 7 quid will do the same job you dont have to worry about loading up linux and the quality will be far better than streaming. That game streamer is a waste of time if you ask me.

Now if only PS3 didn't break wireless and other stuff in linux under patch 2.1.
Those bastards.

It's the PC doing the grunt work and being streamed, if the PS3 CPU was involved it'd be a helluva lot smoother.

I wonder if your PC is **** would It play the game Full speed on the PS3?
Can you play Online games like W.o.W or FF11?
and Does this mean we can play the PC halo on PS3?
What If Emulators can they be streamed too ?
If i get a yes to all these questions.....PS3 just gained mad points
couldn't a xbox1 or any other device do the same job? the ps3 is only used as a streaming client with usb input..

lol you people are so dumb. First of all, all it does is capture video and audio from the pc game and stream it across network to your ps3. It loses vid quality for one and two it has a fair bit of response delay and lastly you need a very fast network and comp to handle hd resolutions. Its a lot simpler to buy a long tv out cable and plug it into your TV.
Yes, its a total nail in the coffin for 360, I mean now you can play your pc games with far worse framerates than your pc, at much lower resolutions than your pc and plenty of input lag. gee i dont know how 360 will ever be able to compete against that lol.
And even if this streaming did work well, its not a very good thing for sony, they are bleeding money with every ps3 sold as it is, the only part where they look to make back those proffits is software sales, and if you had a working pc game emulator on ps3, those sales would take a huge hit.
In conclusion you ps3 fanboys dont seem to be too clever.

yes it can, but its still fairly pointless due to reasons explained above.

even in a stream you have to have the means of processing the video and i
don.t think Xbox1 can handle that, plus you also need an OS to do this in the first place

yes and i believe the 360 can aswell since its a linux client all it needs is linux running. the xbox1 can run linux and a modified 360 i believe can run linux aswell. But whats the point look at how many years remote desktops have been in the works and NONE actually give u anything decent enough to play games in. also they all use compression and i could have sworn from a few "haha we can play pc games now xbox loserz" posters that compression was always going to look bad. either way its a pathetic waste of time no gamer would in their right mind use this, usually gamers with gaming machines that CAN run crysis and the like are always complaing about framerates and resolutions so that right there makes this basically just proof of concept like an emulator that never runs full speed.

This is nothing new and i think i shouldnt affect the PS3 sales because is not like u have a pentium 3 with crysis installed and be able to run it with ultra high quality on your PS3 its just a streamer, its nothing new, you could do that in the pc already, take full control of an application, the thruth is that you can do the same thing just hooking your pc your tv and home theather and play the game on your HDTV, and i think it would be way better because youŽll have less process running on the pc so that means more FPS and more performance... i think that hooking your pc would be better because u get full HD, u see he is not using HD. theres 800x600 thats not HD

I smell dedicated low-cost streaming-clients for the masses. Maybe with PS3, XBox360 or PC subscriptions and serverfarms waiting for subscribers (clients) for a monthly subscription fee.
Such devices wouldn't need expensive BluRay devices or high tech CPUs thus they are cheap, say 50$-100$.
This technique hopefully doesn't get commercial.

Can you stop talking about remote desktop, you keep going on about it in other posts. this is not the same.!!!!!!
Firstly this is streamed over LAN at VERY HIGH SPEEDS (UPTO 1gb/s)
MORE THAN CAPABLE OF STREAMING AT VERY HIGH RESOLUTIONS AND SPEED.
remote desktops are done over broadband, most at very slow, incapable streams. The broadband version of streammygame relies on HIGH BANDWITH connections like verizons fibre optic service or comcasts new 160mb/s connections and it says that.
Please remember, the streaming PC playing the game has to be quite a decent high end machine, the receiving computer however not so. So if you have a very fast BB connection, when the online version is released Q1 08, even if you have a SLOW machine, then yes you can play CRISIS off of someone elses high powered machine somewhere else in the world.
MESSAGE TO EVERYONE SAYING THIS DOESN'T WORK... TRY IT.
also go to the source and READ!!!!!!!!
You can use any resolution your monitor ot TV displays and there are no servers or anything up at the moment everything is local area network, so no online servers.

Ya? How does your **** 3.2ghz pc play it? To actually play Crysis. And I mean at 50-60fps, you need 3.8-4ghz. 3.2 doesnt cut it. By the way, thats a really shitty overclock bro. I have my E6750 at 4ghz on air. Which would TROUNCE that Q6600 in ANYTHING but encoding. What do you have that on stock cooling? So ya, I could say your PC sux at playing crysis. And dont even get me started on your G80 GPU's. God those things suck. 2x G92 FTW.

ok, you obviously missed the point or don't read or something...
this does NOT run the games directly on the PS3... it just streams them from your PC... so if your pc sucks arse then the performance will suck arse via the PS3... plus you need to have linux installed on the ps3 for it to work anyway
it is pretty cool.. but people need to stop being retarded and actually read about how it works....
technically you can play ANY game VIA your PS3... BUT it isn't actually running on the PS3 and your PC will NOT be usable while you are playing via the PS3...
its not that hard to understand people... get with the program

Keep in mind that this is Maxconsole so you have to use simple words and spell it slowly for the readers to understand. Also expect to repeat yourself several times before it starts to sink in. They will either start to understand what you are saying or just simply get tired using what little brain cells they have and just leave.
