View Full Version : popsish - yet another popstation GUI

I didn't find any GUI working decently with both single- and multidisc PSX games, so I decided to make my own.

Requires .net Framework (3.5 i think, not sure though)

So it has the basic features of a GUI for popstation (duh):

- Click-friendly conversion from PSX to PSP games
- Somewhat beginner friendly (atleast I would've understood what was going on when I found out about popstation ^^)
- Error handling so your PBP's end up like they should :)
- Custom menu images

Please send all bug reports to sovereign|at|live|dot|se. All feedback is welcome, either in this thread or via email.

All credits for the converter executables goes to Dark-AleX!

Changelog:

1.1
- Added custom menu images
- Made it look cleaner and nicer to work with

Fu**ing .net Framework!

Mine doesn't need .net framework ;)

Of course it only does multi-disk eboots, but there's better single-disk GUIs out there anyways so i didn't really see the point for single disk.

I dont see the point of having both a stand-alone single-disc and a stand-alone multi-disc GUI :P

sigh

I can't find a multi-disk gui that works for me. The other one linked in this thread only creates a 2 mb eboot.

This one errors out saying that the custom image whatever path is not valid. I'm not using, or care to use, custom images. Is there any way around this?

If it only created a 2mb eboot then you selected a file that popstation_md doesn't support. You can only load .bin, .img, or .iso files.

The image I ripped is in .img/.ccd format. I do know what I'm doing. I've only been ripping PSx images since the Playstation was released (found out about the disc swap method 2 days after the systems release). Thanks for the help though.

Did you select the img though? If it gave you such a small eboot I think you selected the .ccd.

Tried them all. img, ccd, and cue. FYI, the game I was trying to convert is Lunar Silver Star Story Complete. I haven't tired any other games.

I didn't say mine was better... Galagher was complaining about Popish requiring .net framework. I linked him to one that didn't require it. Not everyone has .net framework installed on their computer you know...

This GUI has an unacceptable bug where the icon0.png fails to show up. Also lacking the ability to use a custom warning screen. When I have a marvelous game such a Chrono Cross loaded onto my PSP and then the icon0 fails to display, its stings. It stings baaaad...

I wouldn't call one GUI better or worse as all the work by all programmers is appreciated and its healthy to have multiple GUI's in the works.

Hate to tell you this but most of the GUI for multi boot cant support warning images (unfortunally i think only single disks can have boot images)

Thanks for the GUI sovereign90. Looks good. As soon as I do a re-install of my OS I will use it for sure.

Saves from running lots of programs just to get what you need. One and simple, once again good work :)
