new uk psp

hi guys first post here bought a uk psp today for my sons birthday must say impressed well i had to try it out am i reading this write u cant play games other than originals on the machine not even put them on a memory stick and play them? please any info would be good thanks

UK PSPs come out with a Version 1.52 Firmware(2.00 if you ran the demo disc) anything higher than 1.50 doesnt sepport homebrews.

But dont take my word for it google it.
