wii no longer reading back ups

none of my back ups no longer work

Have you tried running the config 1.3 disc to see if it picks that up

Had customer with same problem console workshop installed the wiikey he updated the firmware to 3.0 after the wiikey you not play backups. I ended up putting another wiikey in
I would stick a wiinja deluxe in the wiikey is far to dodgy! I stopped installing wiikeys awhile ago. wiinja deluxe have no problems with smg or firmware updates

please ignore the reply above mine :P the wiikey doesn't die from 3.0 at all, 3.0 imposes restrictions on the disc headers etc.
first, tell us what game you are trying and what region the game is.

i have many games ranging from release date games
up to latest releases all worked before the update

mostly pal but any ntsc game have been
confirmed workin on gbatemp compatibilty list

So why when i desoldered the wiikey that stopped working & tried it in a different wii is still did not work & that was on a completely different firmware

I'm not saying it's down to the 3.0 firmware! I am saying it happened the same as the one i had taken on. This forums is full of problems due to wiikey

chips break, especially clones.. it happens for sure! but 3.0 doesn't break anything. There are forums full of problems with the wiikey as it's an overhyped chip, almost all users use it therefore more chips will break!
there are a LOOOOOOOOOT of cheap clones out there of the wiikey, not as much of the cyclowiz e.g. i believe.
