Comparing the two pictures of the woman, her hair looks slightly different on the right side of her head...my gut reaction was also that it was a fake, but it could very well be the quality loss to the TV.

The front of the unit isn't nearly as shiny as a normal PSP. I believe that you'll have to open the PSP up, run the video cable through a pass-through, and use a replacement front that ships with the unit. For over $100, I'm not too excited.

the point about the hair is a good one, well spotted. the image on the TV does appear to be totally different than the one on the PSP.

perhaps they had it ready for an april fools but didn't quite get it together in time (or couldn't wait till next year, lol).

I mean who's gonna rip apart their PSP just so it can be used on a TV with a Ps2 pad? I personlaly don't see the point, especially when you've a) gotta dismantal the PSP, b) make the PSP look gash with the add on at the bottom and c) loose all portability of the psp.

I do see why it would be good if it was a small usb plug and play adapter but I for one wouldn't get this monster.

im gonna wait for sony to bring out their own one, if they ever do. id never get this thing. i was hoping for something that went in to MS slot or possibly the usb, but take apart the psp? never. looks like computer equipment from the real world in the matrix- not fancy, just there to do its job.

Hmmm..I thought there was something a bit strange that the PSP was displaying at the same time as the monitor as I would have thought that a passthrough connector on the LCD would have been an either/or operation and unable to support simaltaneous display - but we will see once the gadget is released :D

As for the picture being differnt, I don't think it is - Here's a quick butcher job with the TV's aspect ratio corrected and a little bit of contrast adjustment:

plus the games are gona look like **** if you take a 16x9 picture with the psp and it displays as 4x3, all the game characters and everything are going to look squished like gumby as you can see with the presentation they gave us. Plus 100 bucks!!!! that's laughable. the guy that posted the example picture had to squish The tv with photoshop with the post above me to show why this is the case. You have to have the width and height coorisponding or it looks shitty. so if they aren't going to add bars. It's going to look like garbage.

The machine does have a 4:3/16:9 output switch on the back...Although why they chose not to flick it in their promo shots I have no idea.

I do wonder how the games will look on TV as the PSP has a low resolution and a lot of developers cheat with textures etc... due to the small screen size.
