Howdy,

Not sure if this is the right forum but hey here goes..................

I've recently brought my son a psp slim and stupidly assumed you would be able to play games on the tv using an AV Cable, but now realise you need a Component AV Cable (5 leads not 3)!.

My tv does not have the extra 2 connections for a Component cable, only the 3 normal AV connectors!. Is there any way of playing games on the tv without the component AV cable???.........maybe a different lead etc or am I stuck!?????

Thanks,
skinandbones

Nah, I've looked into it myself - your only real option is a component vga convertor, and they are like real expensive.

You may as well buy a new telly.

Unless you have a scart connection on your tv which supports the component signal, you're indeed stuck.
In that case you'll need a component to av converter.

Thanks for your reply's, I had a little search around and managed to find this:

http://www.thegametrain.com/psp-slim-2000-rgb-scart-cable-p-414.html

It appears to be a psp slim tv out cable with scart connection, the description suggests you can play games with it??. What do people reckon, would this allow me to play games on the tv or would I only be seeing pics and playing music???

Thanks,
