I'm having trouble making a magic memory stick for my psp. I have a pandora battery that i made using the pandora gui program, which also made my 2 gig card into a magic mem stick. I wanted to set things up to flash 3.71m33 from the pandora battery menu (without having to use my 2 gig), so i got a 256 meg scandisk card and the despertar_cementerio v3 software. After multiple tries to get this installed i keep getting the same error while using msinst to flash the ipl. The program shows the following text.

When i enter yes it says

I keep getting this message when trying to setup a new magic memory stick. Its happened with both the 512 and 2 gig card i used the first time. I even tried restoring the pandora battery to normal and using the pandora gui again to setup the magic memory stick ahead of time, but still got the same message. I did a sitewide search and a google search for the error, but the only other reports of this i could find were on foriegn language sites.

I know for certain that at least the 2 gig stick is real, I'm running 3.51m33 custom firmware, and i have windows xp service pack 2 for my os.

Did you format your MS with mspformat before trying to install the IPL?

Also, make sure you are introducing the correct drive letter as the parameter.

Yes, i format the memory the memory stick with the psp first to avoid open errors, then format with mspformat. I've been following the instructions in the read me file from Dark Alex's program, filling in the gaps with general info from the pandora faqs. And I am using the correct drive letter. Its always the same letter, and pops up as soon as I turn on usb mode, so I get a constant reminder of which one it is (K: in this case).

I also just tried to install magic ms on both cards with the totalnewbie installer, got this error message instead.
