View Full Version : Saints Row 2 shaping up to be a hyper realistic GTA IV alternative

Australian gaming website Gameplayer has posted up a preview on Saints row 2. They seem mightily impressed and conclude that while GTA IV may be going down the route of realism, Saints Row 2 is being molded nicely into an enjoyable hyper realistic alternative.



Not only is the city of Stilwater much larger in SR2 than it was in the original, it’s also set to feature over 130 building interiors to explore and/or crash through, six new above ground districts and four underground, plus every district from the first game has been retouched and redesigned to make the experience seem fresh.

While Rockstar’s GTA IV seems to be focusing on realism, Saints Row 2 is shaping up to be an enjoyable hyper-realistic alternative. We’ll have more in the coming months, but for now we’ll leave you to ponder how much funnier throwing yourself in front of traffic during the Insurance Fraud missions will be with a friend.

if it's not good/coming out for ps3 im not getting it. the 1st ones multiplayer was so simple, yet so fun.

THe gfx are a lot better in Saints Row. But GTA has overall better game play including motobikes, planes, choppers.

Although the in car shooting feature in Saints kicks ass. So easy to actually aim where u wanna, unlike GTA.

ok? The first game was an interesting and fun game especially coming out in 360s first year. Though until GTAIV comes out I wouldnt do to much talking over there. I think rockstar is gonna make the original saints row look like sh!t. Though who knows maybe GTAIV will suck? Doubtful but this game might be worth it enough to check it out.

Loved Saints Row, will definitely buy Saints Row 2, and will also buy GTA4, can't wait for either!

Saints Row is CRAP! This game is for Eminem and Insane clown posse white kids wannabes.

lucky for you they are adding that into Saints Row 2 plus the whole game can be done as coop much like in crackdown.
