Hi,

I recently bought and installed a Mod360 1.1 on my Toshiba-Samsung drive.

Everything looks ok...
The console works... and runs originals.

But...
Running a backup it doesn't work.

It opens the game as a DVD movie and shows a animation with a 360 theme and a message to use that DVD on a 360 console!

This means that the modchip is not working?
Or.. is my DVD bad recorded?

Thank you so much.

if the modchip uses ixtreme based firmware then thats tell tale sign your backups are not fully stealthed.

AFAIK it means that it is NOT working.
Why use a modchip when you can flash your drive for free?

you would think that someone who took the time to fit a modchip would have done it right or not ar all.which it looks like he has.

then if someone supplied it then you would think they would have supplied fully working, functioning chips.

Mod 360 is a NME clone . Are you backups NME patched ?

And... How can i know wich firmware my modchip uses?

lack of knowledge

So,,, the problem is in the modchip?

I asked a guy witch has a modded 360, and he asked about the DVD writter...
Do I need to change anything in the writter?

Thank you again.

Try patching your backups first , then report back

Well I think it is not safe to assume anything!
I know of someone who fitted a modchip to a wii, it still booted originals just fine, however backups did not, they took the time to solder and install it themselves however it was not done correctly.
We need to establish exactly what was done here in order to correctly advise, assumptions are out the door!
saleem, you are far more experienced directly with 360's than I...So I will take a step back and read the story unfolding!
