I received my memor32 today and followed the instructions with the memento firmware, But something isn't quite right. After flashing the firmware the memor32 file manager shows that the space has been taken from the card, But it does not show any files. When I put it in the PS2 I can see the three files on the card, But when I boot up a backup it hangs on a black screen not showing any logo or anything. The only way I saw a logo was trying the dev modes, But that didn't help me boot the disc.
Thanks in advance for any help, Hopefully it's my incompetence and not the card:D

Could someone please let me know if you're having this problem also? I'd hate to throw away something that cost almost 100 bucks shipped without trying everything I can.

Yes, this is normal and your memorycard is fine!
Black screen? I only get a black screen if I burn it with a wrong burning software like Nero, so try CloneCD, works fine here.
btw, don't forget to patch the iso's first. ;)

Thanks for the reply Beemer!
I used imgburn with 2 patched iso's first but when neither worked I tried Nero(I used verbatim +R for the first 2 and then tried a maxell -R). I will try CloneCD now, Hopefully that'll do it.

I tried burning the patched iso with CloneCD and still have the same results, I also tried the old memento firmware to see if that was the problem but still no luck.

Well I finally got it working, It was as easy as going to the store and buying a new PS2:mad: My old system was model (I think it's spch, Not sure) SPCH - 35001 and it would not work no matter what I did, But my new one is the ceramic white model that comes with sing star and it booted first try.
Thank you Beemer for trying to help me.

No logo? are you using the older v1.1 firmware ?
Older v1.1 firmware: no logo, dosnt work well with old bulky ps2, but works nicely with slimline.
New v1.2e firmware: has logo, works will with older bulky, but some slimlines stopped working.

I tried both firmwares on my old PS2 and I got nothing but a black screen, It seemed like it was trying to work but didn't.

Odd, im getting the Logo with both my old v30004 and v50004 using firmware v1.2e.
Donno if it matters anymore, but you could try reinstalling the firmware again as it sound like you are on firmware v1.1 only.
1. hook up memor32 to pc and open Savegame Manager
2. Erase the whole card (press key in lower right corner).
3. Insert card in ps2 and enter the browser and reformat the card.
4. hook card up to pc again and click the exe to install firmware.
(make sure to make backups of any savegame you have first).

Thanks for the suggestion Speedlock! I tried both of the firmwares again on my old PS2 again and neither worked. Hopefully one of the soon to be released firmwares will work on it.

I'm experiencing the same problem with an old PS2 too (SCPH-30004), I've tried it with the pstwo of a friend and it worked...
I Hope it will be fixed on next release ! Have you already reported the problem ?
