PS3 tops Wii for the first time in Japan

The Wii may have outsold the PS3 last week, but according to Enterbain, the PS3 outsold the Wii for the first time in Japan (complete month of November) selling 183,217 units in comparison to the Wii's 159,193 units in a four week period ending November 25th.



Sony Corp's PlayStation 3 outsold Nintendo Co Ltd's Wii game console in Japan in November for the first time, raising the prospect that Sony might regain its dominance in the global videogame market.

Sony, which launched the consoles a year ago, sold 183,217 PS3 in Japan in the four weeks to Nov. 25, topping sales of 159,193 Wii consoles, according to game magazine publisher Enterbrain, a key watcher of trends in the sector.

In japan Wii sale about 4M in japan and ps3 about 1.5M.

Only 0.03M differ this month due to reduce price is nothing to the race.
It's just first month that ps3 able to out sale Wii in this year.

Next month ps3's sale will drop. And I think we will not see it again till ff13 and mgs4. and ps3's sale will drop again in a month.

Sony should be worried, they just grabbed on a tinny 15% of margin over the Wii , with the help of a spike with game,s adn first really price cut, that already is fading ( last week going to normal ), they shouldn't talk when these numbers are so minimal and insignificant compared to the performance of the machine until now, and easily predicted fro the next months.;)

I dont mean to sound like a ****, but really, look at the two stories posted. One says "Wii back on top in Japan" posted at 1:38, and the story posted 17 min later says, "PS3 tops Wii for the first time in Japan" so either the PS3 outsold the Wii with in 17 min, or you posted backwards.

If you bothered to read the stories, The Wii is back on top for weekly sales. PS3 outsold the Wii for the monthly sales.

Isnt that awesome ? our ps3 either got no game or one game , depending and switching on the arguments of fanboys ...

-Why buy a ps3 it got no game ? (and you could waste your time giving a list , they'd dismiss it as no hits or valuable games , even with uncharted)

-Ps3 is selling better ... oh but thats only because of wii shortage uncharted and dynasty warrior ... It couldnt be because more titles are there and getting there , and new tag price rekindling interest among people waiting for such things to happen :rolleyes:
