Reggie Fils-Aime said in an interview that there is no secret plan to store Wiis in a warehouse to spur demand. He said this would result in lost sales to female 40 and 50 year-olds who they are trying to reach out to. Reggie says they aren't avid gamers and are unlikely to sleep outside a store overnight or visit a retailer 5 or 6 times. "It is literally a missed opportunity" he said.

There is no secret plan to store Wiis in a warehouse to spur demand. The company, after all, is trying to reach out to women and to 40- and 50-year-olds who aren't avid gamers.

"They aren't going to sleep outside of a store overnight or visit a retailer five or six times," he said. "It is literally a missed opportunity."

Well I can agree that holding back units for the sake of spurring demand would be a bad idea and probably would not work. Now holding back units in order to meet a higher demand on say the holidays, thats just good business :) and completely unrelated to be honest.

The whole "where not holding any back" thing is sort of a lie :( come on Nintendo one thing gamers are not, is stupid...

Usually the Wii has been selling around 550K units a month now all of a sudden they are selling 300K+ a week ??? Something does not add up lol

I could care less how they sell them, I already have mine :)

come on Nintendo one thing gamers are not, is stupid...Apparently, you are. And then some...

My brother and I already explained to you why retailers withheld stock for a week to guarantee stock for Black Friday. Just because you can't wrap your simple mind around it does not confirm your idiotic suggestion.

Stop spouting bullshit...you should be embarrassed.

Ahhh your brother that explains it :)

And here I was thinking two people here just had the same opinion.

I love how you resort to insults when you feel some one has slighted Nintendo but please try to argue your points with some form of dignity.

Edit: Note that I responded to your points that you and your brother made in the other thread. You may resort to insults if you feel like it but you might want to think about it a little.

Though we are twins, we are also "two people here with the same opinion" on this matter...if you insist on referring to fact as "opinion".

Your "argument" equates to:

Nintendo are holding back! It's obvious!

[reasons and economic rationale for why your accusation is baseless and absolutely incorrect]

Uh-uh. I know how stuff works. I like to pretend that I have an understanding of economics because it makes me feel like I'm smarter than those marketing types. [repeats what was previously stated as "proof"]

[additional reasoning and rationale to discredit you]

Nuh-uuuh! It's OBVIOUS! [repeat delusional accusation]

*sigh

Wow that was pretty pointless... I can see your quite the skilled forum troll.

anyway it is plain to see that you have nothing to add here other then insults :)

It seems you ran out of anything credible to say ?

Edit: would you not like to change my mind with some links or something resembling more then an opinion presented as fact ?

You're baiting me. Stop it. I see what you're doing ;)

It seems you ran out of anything credible to say ?Wha-? How does it seem that way?

Edit: would you not like to change my mind with some links or something resembling more then an opinion presented as fact ?

I not sure how a link would prove that twins are, in fact, separate people. If that's what you're asking me to prove... Maybe I could find a picture of four people: Two who look unique and two who are twins; captioned with four different names. I'm still not sure how I could prove that it's possible to prove that twins can have different opinions, other than proving that they are, in fact, different people.

Don't worry, I understand that you're not asking for this. I'm being sarcastic because I should never have to "prove" common sense. You do, however, need to have proof before "trolling" your baseless accusations of "Stock manipulation by Nintendooooo" across multiple threads. If you're one of those idiots who thinks "it's obvious", then you probably also think you know more about international relations than our US president. Just because you think you know, and you read some sensationalist stories or watch "The Daily Show", does not make fact. When you contribute to sensationalism, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

OK. Maybe you want me to "prove" somehow with URLs that Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year. Do I need to prove Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) is a retail event? Do I need to prove that Christmas is a holiday? Do I need to prove that it's customary to give gifts for Christmas? Where does it stop?!
