According to reports, Wal-Mart has joined the likes of other retailers in severly cashing on a lack of Wii availability by selling the Wii basic unit with seven games for $677.

Wal-Mark has started to bundle the Nintendo Wii basic unit with seven games for $677, apparently joining many other retailers taking advantage of the console’s heavy demand and short supplies.

With third-party sellers selling the basic console for nearly $400 (and up), $150 over the list price and with other major suppliers like Best Buy and Target sucked dried of the Nintendo Wii.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

Wii=$250
7 Games Times $50each =350

250+350=600

600+7% Tax=642

Plus maybe another controller that might be included?

Price seems fair too me...

Besides Wii's are short I see them setting on shelf all the time.

Each Wii sports game is counted as one game most places and they give a away the crapiest games no one wants that sell for like 10$

first of all its the hype surrounding the wii. secondly theyre using the hype, to fake a shortage, hence boosting demand even more, since human beings are stupid creatures, they always want what they cant have. and theyre using all of these things to sel wii games. which are clearly not selling.

No WalMart is not ripping people off, but at the same time I think they should sell them with and with out the bundle packs. What I mean is that they have 200 Wii's to sell, if some one wants the bundle they should sell one(and some people do when buying for spoiled grand kids...) but if some one just wants to buy a Wii they should just sell the Wii even if it means selling all 200 units with out the bundle.

You can still buy just the Wii at Wal-Mart. I work at a Wal-Mart in Texas as a cashier. Just today I saw a customer buying a Wii by itself. There were only four in the back though and before the day was over they were gone.

Yeah, maybe this is an online-only bundle thing?? I walked into a Wal-Mart last week and they had two Wiis in the display cabinet. I bought one, no bundle required.

Working in Germany and theres no shortage of them here.. I actually got mine on launch day by walking into a shop and picking the last one off the shelf.

Can get them in most shops even now.. I know other parts of Europe are having a shortage, so recommend you buy one from a german online store or contact me and I'll sort one out for you.. :o)

I have sent a couple over to the UK along with a an adapter plug (or cut off the german one and pop your own on). The warranties are all covered if they stay in Europe..

This is a blatant lie, I went to walmart.com and it was pick 7 of like 30 games.

Also they aren't selling Wii Sports separately thats also a lie.
