I truly, truly am a n00b with this PSP mod stuff ...
I'd like to thank everyone for their support and assistance thus far. I'm very close to where I want to be now with my unit (just need a little help!). Before anyone flames me, please know I read the first 10 pages before creating this thread!
I had version 1.5 (since the birth of my PSP). Now I have successfully updated to 3.52 M33-4 firmware.
Up until recently, I was content with my 1.5 version, b/c all I did really was play emulator games (of ones I have owned, both past and present). Then, I wanted to play some UMD games, but to my surprise I was promopted to "update" the Sony firmware to play the game(s).
I obviously did not want to lose my emulators by upgrading; but then I realized I could download this 3.52 custom firmware M33-4. It was a little complicated, but last night, I did it (easy for most, remember I'm a n00b!).
_____
Now, everything is cool. I have the new features that 3.52 provides and I can play UMDs! This was my ultimate goal. However, first and foremost, I did not want to lose my emulators!
When I go to play an emulator (I have NES, SNES (Snes9x) and Sega (MEGADRIVE), it tells me "The game could not be started. (8002014C)" - so I can't figure out what the disconnect is?
These emulators are in my PSP/GAME folder. I have read something about a GAME150 folder, however I do not have one. I did create one last night, but it was late and I didn't really put anything in that folder except the "M33Update4" file as advised by the step-by-step process of upgrading to M33-4.
Do I need to put these emulator files into the PSP/GAME150 folder? I wish I could try that now, but I'm at work and do not have a USB cord. Do I need to change any settings on my unit?
Bottom line - what do I need to do in order to get my emulators to play using this 3.52 M33-4 version.
I do apologize for all the information. If you're like me, the more info, the better you can assist someone. Any help you guys can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
