well since home might be hitting japan in spring, count on a early to mid summer for u.s. europe will probably get home before u.s. i think the japan/european market is a better place for home to start off with.

i just could care less about it. currently the psn / web interface is too cumbersome and sloppy for ease of use. too much pointing and clicking, too much effort for so little payback.

just a simple, quick interface would suffice, not everyone wants a second life / web like interface on a console. i can see where sony is going to interface the gaming achievements with home due to the fact alot of games allow you to earn special points for doing things in game (ex: r:fom and ratchet).

but having to load up a virtual world and go to someones apartment / home to see their achievments is too much work.

if sony, nintendo and microsoft were able to work together on a points system, then all consoles could offer achievements and gamer points on each console and titles, add them together for a lump sum. then perhaps users would buy each console just to rack up points from all consoles / games to get larger achievement points.

i know the ps3 fanboys say gamer points are dumb (personally to me they're addictive and make me wanna play the game more just to hear that little 'achievement unlocked' sound), but some ps3 games do have a points system in them (like i mentioned above), you just have to go to different menu selections to see them. but once sony gets a points system going (they are going to), the fanboys will praise sony.

currently i'll choose the 360 version over the ps3 version of the same title just for the achievements option, not because one is better than the other.

but if all three consoles offered it, then totaled all your console points together for one total? who wouldn't buy the other consoles to get a bigger score than someone else? i think alot of people would buy more of the 'other' consoles.
