Again... By popular request..
Just put the NES folder into your GAME folder and it's good to go..
add in a ROMS directory and put your (zipped or otherwise) roms in there
ALL credit goes to RUKA.. I did NOTHING except ADD IN AN ICON AND BACKGROUND SET THAT I FOUND
again.. this is unedited in any way, only an XMB customization.. and thats all
works with Slim
Works with Phat
Enjoy

:) Thanks, just like the Turbo Grafix icon this one is also awesome. I know that you once mentioned that for a couple of other emulators you also made such fantasic icons, and I would very much like to have them installed on my PSP. Did you post them? Do you perhaps have the links easily available?

well if you do a search for al the threads Ive posted in, you would probably find
Tg-16
SNES RUKA 32++ beta (for PHAT)
NesterJ 1.11
Maybe Dgen? I duno if I posted that one.
I also have atari, Intellivision, and Colecovision
but keep in mind.. I never made any of these... I found them by accident while searching for a cool gameboot..
and then I found this site with a WHOLE bunch listed... I ha to test each one individually and I like yourselves thought they were the coolest icons ever
I had one for the NeoGeo as well, that was pretty nice.. can't find it now for the life of me tho..

Illegal Machine, could you please post a link for us to the site where you found these old commercial gameboots?
This would be much appreciated.:)
I've found the SNES RUKA 32++ beta (for PHAT) that you posted but haven't been able to find the dgen one:(

1. I totally would, however that link has long since died, and wasn't working even before I took it off my Bookmarks..
2. I don't think I posted DGEN.. I haven't applied the icon set to the version Im currently using because I'm waiting for a better release.... the DGEN thats out now doesn't support .zip roms, and has this annoying offset screen..
3. they're not really gameboots.. the file is called icon.pmf or something like that

Chilly's New Emulator will be here before we know it.;)
Could you Please Post the Dgen pmf here?
I would like to check it out.

well... It would only do that on a PSP thats straight out of the box..
do you have a custom firmware installed? because that's kind of like a unspoken requirement..
I only ask because it looks like you registered JUST to make that post, and if you did, then you might now know about custom operating systems....
do you?

Is there suppose to be a menu on this ported NES emu to slim? When starting a rom I cant go to any menu to change settings, save, load etc. That mean it wont work to load another rom without quitting the emu and starting it from XMB again...
EDIT: Anyway, this one worked better. NesterJ for 3.xx kernel: http://advent24.googlepages.com/~howtoinstallnesterjonyourpspandplaynesg

1. whatever that is you posted here is probably the same thing..
2. If you would like to access the menu on THIS, then you must press SELECT+LTRIGGER
3. You're welcome (kinda)
has anyone also had any luck with a GBA emu for psp?
illegal machine: i'd like to ask if i could get some assistance in the terminology of icons and stuff so i can find tutorials on creating the boot icons. the nesterj one that you attached was awesome! if you could tell me what wording to look for for tutorials it'd be greatly appreciated.
the final product i wanna make is like the tv advert as the icon with a high def pic behind.
also if you know if you can edit one's already done, also that would help a lot.
thanks in advance

Sorry I never noticed this: I hope this guy sees this at least (but I doubt it because he posted it MONTHS ago)
anyway the Main icon is called the ICON0.PNG
and the animated icon is called ICON1.PMF
and yes, you can easily edit eboots with a program called PSPBrew.. that's what I use to customize everything.
the nesterj 4 the slim psp dosent have a wifi network play mode...any help plz
this is true. never made a difference to me because I'm the only PSP fan I know of
heya,
thanks for the reply machine, since i posted i've found the psp editing software attempted (and failed) to make an ICON1.pmf and attempted to mod a few ps1 games. when i get some holiday time i'll look into it more and if i figure it out i'll let you know.
thanks again

Hey Illegal Machine thx for the DL everything works great so far just a heads up for anyone else who finds this post, the directory structure must look like below
J:\PSP\GAME\Nintendo\ROMS
or the emu cant find the roms It took me about 15 min to figure it out lol the emu would run up but it couldn't find the roms
So with that in mind u must rename the folder "NES" to Nintendo then add a ROMS folder inside "Nintendo" folder and drop your roms in there and poof.
THANKS

I created a ROMS folder in the GAME folder. I can't seem to find the roms in Nester J.
When i start Nester J it pops up; "Load Config FAILED. Set Default...."

Hmmm...
Well in that case I would probably just navigate to the ROMS folder again, and set up the options from scratch.
Might take a minute but as long as you exit using the games menu or the HOME key it will save the settings
