yeh, i converted my friends battery to pandora, and he told me that even after he left it charging all night, it showed low battery on his psp soon after. but we didn't really do anything to solve the problem. this is just my way of saying, you're not the only one. (his was an original sony psp battery that came with his psp at time of purchase)
i feel like i read something similar before on these boards closer to the time when pandora originally came out... but i was never able to find those claims (or solutions if they exist) again.

Have you tried shorting it out with a paperclip. That works for some people.

i have & it didn't work !!
i have no choice but to buy the slim tool battery from codejunkies.
thx 2 both of u for the replies ;)
I'm certain I read something about this before. Have you tried converting the battery back to a normal one, maybe it will hold a charge then?
Once it's fully charged, you could then try changing it in a Pandora battery and it may still hold the charge.

I converted a battery that wouldn't hold a charge for very long...it was at full charge when I did it...and now that it's pandora it works great...but now I have a different battery that doesn't hold a charge that has never been messed with and is an original.
Well it will hold the charge but once it hits 75% it is completely out of power. so?

I would like to know more about this, as I was considering to make a pandora battery for a friend, but if the battery is unusable after the conversion then it's no point.

The same thing has happened to me. It doesn't charge in pandora mode or normal mode.
The bright side is that i can still use it as an unbricker with the power supply connected. So I guess, all isnt lost.

This sounds like an isolated problem. My battery is still working fine, the last time I checked it still has charge.

This may be totally unrelated but there is mention of low battery problems associated with corrupt keys in Chilly Willy's KeyCleaner guide.
http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=82963 scroll down to the section that mentions KeyCleaner.
Like I said it may not mean a thing but it is something no one has mentioned yet.

It has nothing to do with keys AKAIK. The battery is completely dead because my spare battery works fine in pandora and normal modes.
Thanks for the input anyway.

i got the same problem, battery was from psp launch and not it does nothing by itself but does at least work as a pandora battery when a power source is connected. tried making it a regular battery again and it won't work. On the PSP it says 0% Charge Level and the battery status is charge complete. Oh well at least it works!

My pandora is made from a launch battery too, and it charges just fine using Sony's external battery charger...
