I took the time to read through most of these threads. There are quite a few. Anyway, everywhere that a Passme is mentioned, The Metroid Prime Demo quickly follows as the cart needed to make the passme work.

Is this true, or did I make an incorrect assumption? Will any cart work with the Passme, or do I need to get ahold of this Metroid Prime Demo?

I want to get the FlashMe firmware on my DS, but I am still in the information gathering phase, and any help is appreciated.

As far as I know any cart works in PassMe, but I have only tried with Metroid Demo, SM64, Polarium and Spiderman2 in the passme. Seems there is better compatibility (for me) when using the SuperCard with FlashMe to be able to run stuff (homebrew too) when the Metroid demo is in the DS slot.

I had a feeling that I would get an answer like that. I had to be unique and get the Blue DS with SM64 instead of the Grey with Metroid. :( Oh well. I'll just deal with it later.

Thanks,

you shouldnt need Metroid demo if you can get spiderman2 (one I tested as working well with passme) or another 4k EEPROM type cart (see gbatemp for a release list with EEPROM sizes, there are 4k, 64k, 2Mbit)

The metroid cart is the preferred cart to use because it has a 4k save, came with most DS on their release, and well, once you played it there is not much to do with it but solder it to a passme... but the Metroid demo is most definitely NOT necisarry to make passme/flashme work - but DO get something that is NOT SM64 (everytime I see that I think Smurfs64...) as SM64 does not play well with flashme.

It has been reported that the US blue version DS works with passme...
