Theme Bricking on 3.71 M33

I've seen quite a few posts saying that Themes are causing 3.71 M33 to brick.

Is this happening when people are messing with themes in flash or is this happening using ptf Themes from the actual PSP Menu?

Only from using theme's in flash0. But there should be a definite fix available by now.
The .ptf are safe, as they are stored in flash1.

I was under the assumption that since this was something the official firmware can actually do that it shouldn't be a problem...but better to ask than brick.
