View Full Version : Memor32 announced, first USB based PS2 memory card
We have received information from the 'Memor32' team that their new PS2 memory card with a USB connector is now available. Its initial specifications are as follows - 32MB PS2 memory card, USB connector load/unload save games to and from the PC and 100% load/save game compatibility (more than 1500 games tested). This product should be the same thing that a third party hacking group was going on about a while and we're hearing that it may have even shipped to some resellers already!

No, this is a good method for users to use the ps2 memory card exploit so they can load up cogsweap or whatever is new to play backups and imports. You would still need a slide card or magic key 2 but hey, this is a collectable to go with all my swap magics I owned and sold version 2.2 and up.

Is there any news on Vast? The last I heard of it was a demo video showing it worked.
Also I am fairly new the "backup" world and I read in a post by nsdothack that apparently there is a method to use this to load backups if you have magic keys or a slide tool. I use the magic keys and swap magic. Would this card along with the exploit installed on it allow me to direct boot game backups?

no its just a mc with a usb port...
you could use it to load an exploit and hdloader tho

yes this is teh clean version as they advertise it on here and then through the usual dirty channels you can grab the exploit to boot backups, of course the exploit will be magic gate encryptet matching this very id of the memory card so you can't use it on another 3rd party memorycard. sweet to see how this biz killing itself from the inside. dont forget backups have to be patched to boot direct and otherwise its a lame swap magic replacement. so in any way its not worth spending your valued dimes...

in not denying it absolutely, but why wouldnt they just go ahead and say it did such operations? this is a scene site thats run by a modchip store.....

I think I use to have a Gameshark card that looked excatly like that. I can't remember what it was called though.

this is good for people who need more room for their game saves or people who want to use the exploit. Will it allow you to play backups? nope. So, wheres Vast? With this tool, I think programmers will understand the ps2 a little bit more. but yeah i dunno what im saying so fjklasfjksadjfgkfdgflsdlg

grd94533: You are correct. It is indeed the same exact thing, the memory card piece for the Gameshark CDX (PS1). And when I say "exact", I mean it. I have mine sitting next to me right now, and every single little detail (except the Photoshop'ed USB plug in the pic) is exactly the same.
Not only that, but take a look at that port. Compare the left and right side of the inside. Seem a little... off... to you? Now look at the label area where the GameShark label used to be. If you look along the inside bottom, you can see the slight remains of the sticky side of the label.
This "device" is very obviously a hoax. And it's pretty sad that Zeus (or whoever came up with it) has chosen to put up such an obvious one. They could've at least used something better than a PS1 Gameshark CDX unit.

Dear everyone,
We've spoken to some manufacturers and suppliers (mostly Shenzhen, HK and Thailand) about this product, but none had any clue about it or had anything to do with it, which is often a bad sign.
So i guess this isn't the final product, but if the method is proven healthy you'll see a dozen of similar product popiing like wii chips :D
Why do the back ups have to be patched? If this memory card allows you to put an expolit on the memory card you should be able to boot the back up without patching.

you dont have to patch them unless this does contains software on it like vast.
other than that its a simple mc you can conect to pc, copy all the exploit files
and load all the backups you want without the need for a modded ps2 to transfer the files to the mc.
although it can be done with action replay alone jaja
