Sony has reportedly sent a letter to the FCC indicating to make some of the information on their submission private specifically in the tests on WLAND and BT. The old documents which were public as of September 5th denoted a new model number for a controller.

Update to FCC filing:

Sony today has had the FCC make private some of the info that was public since Sept 5th specifically in the tests on WLAN and BT.

Here is the letter of request.

The old docs disclosed a new model number for a controller...(though peripherals wouldn't require submission they must be changing the internals of the PS3 at the same time for some reason).

What is the deal?

Microsoft pays out bribes.

Sony tries to keep some test results private "for a short term".

Market manipulation is wrong. And MS has been living on for to long. *UNIX ftw! And now Sony is tries to play the same game? My god... you people.
