Japanese research company Enterbain has revealed that Microsoft's Halo 3 sold 45,000 copies on its first day in Japan. This is good news for the Xbox 360 as Blue Dragon holds the record for biggest selling 360 game in Japan and sold 83,000 copies in its first week. Surely Halo 3 will beat this record in Japan and move a few extra units.

Not that far behind Australia (although Japan's gaming market is typically stronger).
So about 10% of 360 owners in Japan went for this game on day one.
Certainly not a Dragon Quest release statistic, but it's a big leap in a weak target market.
I'd be surprised if it surpassed Blue Dragon though. I guess I'll likely be proven wrong on that one.

And its a FPS which Japanese people are not really that interested in.

dude, this doesn't make sense. Not only is that nothing but i know for sure that not many japanese own a 360. Gates' and Bungie are scouting and hiring folks to purchase it. Zeus post that story up NOW:mad:

There's like a total of 4 people who own a XbAwkZ in Japan, obviously Bill Gates is buying all the copies so he doesn't look like a failure.
Exactly, There was even a report that the Japanese aren't fond of the 360, it's obviously bloody Bill ordering most of the copies from a different place so it looks like they sold loads!
