i bought a PSP when i went to china this summer and have osme questions about what can/can not be done with it. it is an american psp, but i had it hacked, or flashed, (im not sure the correct term, it may have been a fireware downgrade) by the guy i bought it from so that i can transer games to it directly through the usb port. i also bought a case with 30 or so dvds, each with four psp games on it that i can transfer to the memory stick by putting it in usb mode.

im wondering if anyone knows what it is exactly that he did to my psp so it could do this. also if i should be worried about updating firmware or anything preventing me from being able to use it this way. (i can take screenshots of the transfer program or whatever if it would help)

finaly, when my psps battery is low/dead it turns off and wont turn on (no lights or anything) till i plug in the outlet and im wondering if this is normal psp behavior or something to do with the version hack.
THANK YOU!

When your battery is running low the green light should start to flash, but it doesn't do it for too long before it shuts off. Once it does you have to charge the battery (or plug it in) for the light to come back on.

In order for anyone to help you out further you need to let us know what Firmware is on your PSP. On your PSP menu go to System Settings>System Information to find out what it is.

You also need to give more information about what you mean by "i cant get the games to play online", that's a very general statement. Can you get your Wifi running at all? Make sure the button (bottom left) is enabled first of all.

the firmware under system settings is 3.52 m33 and when i go to the system restore menu (holding r when powering on) it says 1.5 under the game homebrew catogory. as far as online goes i am amble to access web pages through the browser but cant access online content in the games themselves such as house part trading in loco roco or online play in star wars battlefront. the games i have like i said were downloaded to it and ive heard stories of games obtained in such a manner having online problems and was wondering if thats what this was and if anyone had any suggestions around it. thank you very much
