Hi everyone,
AhMan has ported NJ's cps2psp, cps1psp, ncdzpsp & mvspsp emulators to fw3.xx which also makes them available to PSP Slim users now.
Here are the NJ emulators ported to fw 3.x. That is, they're now PSP Slim compatible. I've only tested cps2psp on fw 3.x, but others should also work.
Their respective adhoc versions were also ported and the edited source code is also available for download, of course. Let us know if you have any major issues but apart from that "Just Enjoy" :)

Thanks for this great release AhMan and StoneCut. I can't wait to try this out when I get my slim :)
OT: I'm thinking about compiling from source, but I want to know if the SDK provided in the 3.60 M33 is needed and if it is, where do you place the folders that are inside the SDK?

These are ports to fw3.xx - they will run on both Phat and Slim. They are not edited for the larger RAM.

Thank GOODNESS you guys ported this emulator! I was disappointed a couple days ago when I learned I couldn't run these on the PSP Slim. Now, happy again.
BY THE WAY, can you ahMan port over the CPS1PSP and MVSPSP v2.0.6 BOOTLEG version of the emulator? PLEASE?
URL here: http://pspupdates.qj.net/category/Capcom-Play-System-2/cid/2250
Again, thank you for releasing these ports to the PSP Slim :D

What's different in the "bootleg" versions ?
The support bootleg romsets. The versions of the games pirates made. These include various hacks to just plain bootleg versions that are mostly the same. I don't see why people find them so interesting to play, except in the cases where they enable secret characters by default.

Umm, i thought the latest(?) NJ source is njemu_source_20061225. Got this in my HDD.
Sum1 gotta teach this noob (me) how to compile. :D
Year, Month, Day. Clearly 2007 is newer than 2006. Your source is outdated then.
XstahSie
09-13-2007, 12:57 PM
It can support and play specially modified version of games such as Street Fighter II Rainbow Edition and the SNK VS Capcom Plus, SNK VS Capcom SUPER Plus, etc.
Also, I believe there is a bug in mvspsp_2.0.6_fw3x that is making navigation difficult in the menu when trying to go to folders and selecting the ROMs you want to execute.

I thought NJ hasnt release anything since last December 2006. He went completely dissapear, as usual. Dammit he should update his NGCD window's emu.
And sum1 better make a MVS bootleg version and add this 'specially' hacked KOF2002.

But does anyone have directions on how to install these Emulators, especially the NEO GEO CD one. I have created a folder called NCDZPSP, under PSP/GAME/
I also created sub folders config, data, snap, state and roms under the NCDZPSP folder. The EBOOT.PBP file is there, I know that ncdzpsp.ini gets created when I run the Emulator, but where can I get the command.dat file.
Also is there a difference between the adhoc version and the non-adhoc version?
Any info will be appreciated

Got an odd issue:
Using a Slim with 3.60 M33. Loads just fine, but about 5 seconds after the blue game menu appears, the entire system freezes and then shuts down.
Works perfectly on a Phat with 3.52 M33
Experience the same thing with CPS2PSP and the Adhoc version
Anyone else seeing this?

[EDIT: Typo!]
I've only tried mvspsp_2.0.6_adhoc_fw3x and yes I've noticed it says 2.0 and not 2.0.6 and consquently when I was trying to do adhoc with my fat PSP running 2.0.6 they could not find each other (I'm assuming because they are different versions). Do you think there was just a mistake and the 2.0.6 versions will come out at a later date?
Otherwise, just playing normally seems to work fine (In response to HarleyGuy). Have you tried using a different memory card?

(In response to HarleyGuy). Have you tried using a different memory card?
Nope, but it's a Sony Brand Memory Card, and the program runs fine on the Phat but not the Slim (from the same card)
Update: Tried a different 3rd party card and it worked. Odd, never had an issue w any other games on this card.
Oh well, enjoying some CPS2 fun now!

Yeah I know you can't really explain it. It has happened to me with various games across different memory cards and between fat and slim PSP.
Also the slim's improved D-pad is SOOO much better for cps2 and neogeo games. Look! I can jump diagonally!!
Any word on the 'real' 2.0.6 version anyone? I really want to play Last Blade 2 on Neogeo adhoc :D

cps2 loaded up on slim but cache error. I had tried all ways to convert the roms but still has error:
Checking ROM info...
ROM set "1944"
CRC32 not correct. "CPU1"
Press any button.
It will not decrypt the game as it does previously.
Also pressing O button at the arrow above roms folder screen (the very 1st screen when cps2 loaded) will crash.

Clarifications
These emulators are compiled from the latest source code as written in the post. If the version numbers don't match then maybe NJ forgot to edit that in the source, it's definitely not important.
The HOME key does not work because it's disabled. These ports run in user mode and HOME key is currently not available then.
If you would like to use Adhoc versions on a mix of Slim and Phat PSPs then use the EBOOTs from this release on BOTH (put in GAME352 on Phat).
Hope this helps.

Is it possible that one can't use the cache they created with NJ's version
and have to recreate the cache files with this new version released?
maybe is why I can't get any rom to load that need cache?
probually better to stick with the phat tho because not being able to access options screen kills the purpose of trying to play at all
I appreciate the work though. thanks.

Menu Screen is being looked into ...
Have you tried recreating the cache ? Which emu exactly are you talking about ? I tried CPS1 briefly and it worked fine for me. I don't have a Slim, though.

i finally got my roms working with the mvspsp emu on my slim. The emu is based off the 2.0 code, so u need the 2.0 converter, not the one that comes with the zip. You can download it here:
http://dl.qj.net/dl.php?fid=12753
After running my roms through that converter they worked flawlessly.

With your advice, I tried using this version on my fat PSP so I could play Adhoc between it and my slim PSP but I can't get it to run on my fat PSP.
I tried running it under GAME352 and it does not boot. I tried it under 1.5 and it does boot but it gives an error trying to load a ROM.
I think the fat PSP version and Slim PSP version do not work in Adhoc is because this new slim version is indeed the 2.0 version. This has been proven by others with the cache used not working unless converted by the 2.0 cache generator.
So possibly a true 2.0.6 slim PSP version is in order??

I think I need to make some clarifications here. The source code for the Emus are downloaded from NJ's website and is the latest one released by NJ to the public. If the source code is for 2.0, that would mean the 2.0.6 source code never get released, and there is nothing I can do about it.
For the menu, it's still there but you've to press SELECT+START together.

Ok, here is what I got.

cache folder
config folder
data folder
memcard folder
nvram folder
roms folder
snap folder
state folder
command.dat "Mame Plus"
EBoot.pbp
NeoCD.bin
In the roms folder I have WH2 Jet and in this folder I have
neocd.mp3 with all mp3 files
world heroes 2 jet .zip "mp3 files have been extraxted"
This is what I get, when I start the Emulator
MP3 files not found. CDDA cannot play. I press O to launch and it starts but then it freezes, even during demo, however "How to play" works.

Could anyone give me a heads up on how ad-hoc works? I never used that version. Its all about 2 players right? I've got an exact copy of my Cps1 & 2 directories on a 3.52 M33 phat and 3.60 M33 Slim. Aren't both psps supposed to recognize each other?

To make ad-hoc work, highlight a game on the main menu and press the square button on one of the PSPs to enable ad-hoc mode. Press the circle button. Then, repeatedly do the same thing on the other PSP. Once they are connected, press the circle button on one of the PSPs to start becoming the host and then on the other PSP, press the circle button. If everything works, you should be able to connect two PSP using ad-hoc.
the normal mvspsp run veryslow on the menu and selecting roms jumps one rom , after loading the rom it also runs slow , and screen refresh can be seen. The Adhoc version runs fine. just seems odd, psp slim 3.60 m33

I cannot get KOF '98, 2002, and 2003 working no matter what I try. Using the old 2.0 romcoverter also gives me the error "rominfo.mvs not found." It used to work fine before.
Also on CPS2PSP, I cannot generate a file for Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. It will not create a cache file.

I used Ahman version of CPS1PSP for my phat psp and to my friend's lite psp just like you suggested.
When playing SF2CE, it synchronized fine until half way to the battle, then all hells break lose. First my moves are shown after delay on his psp, next thing you know I am dead on his psp even though I am still playing "him" on mine.
Have you had this problem on CPS1PSP Ad-hoc? I haven't tried MVSPSP and CPS2PSP Ad-hoc, so I don't know if they behave the same.
My friend suggested that we have 2 different memstick (Sony vs Sandisk). Maybe it was the case?

I managed to get KOF99 to work on the neo geo cd emulator. As for the SF cache file, you need to get the euro version of the rom and cache that. Then load the us version
