Hey, this is probably a stupid question, and I apologize in advance for asking, but I think I have messed up more PS2s with the above mentioned mod chip than anything else.

I have two requests, and am hoping someone can help with one or the other:

Does anyone have an old/spare/working DMS 4 EZi Lite/Pro *Non-SE*? I have the clips for that on one of my PS2s, and am certain the chip is bad (replaced the chip w/a known working, boots just fine). If so, I'd obviously pay. I just can't find them anywhere online because of the S.E.s. If this is a bannable request, I am terribly sorry and just erase this, please don't ban my ignorance.

If no one can help with the first request... how the hell do you install the ribbon cables on the S.E? I can't make up or down of the instruction manual, and I sure as hell can't see into the chips themselves. I am pretty sure during the course of installation I have ruined at least two or three Playstations (I couldn't really care less, it's the hobby and accomplishment). Which direction does the cable for the DSP face when inserted (shiny side up or down)? Same for the BIOS, eject, and the chip. I know that is a lot, but I am just frustrated, and am pretty sure at least one person has to have successfully installed an EZi S.E. Pro on a V9 mobo. Please?

I just want to use my hard drive again, and the DMS has the Toxic BIOS that works pretty well with my 320gb hdd. I hate having all of my media around, I just want to buy it, rip it, store it.

Thank you to anyone who views, and to anyone who helps I really can't thank enough.

Wow, all of 15 views (pretty sure 9 were myself) and no replies. Does anyone have any success with this chip at all?

I guess I may just get a different chip and look for an installer here in MN. I just don't have the same time I used to a few years ago to **** around with this.

Since no one has replied, any reputable installers in the midwest?

Again, thanks in advance!

OK, figure I may as well keep bumping this, I have nothing but time I guess...

Anyone at all able to help on any of the following three?

1) DMS 4 EZi Lite or Pro (non-S.E.) for sale or trade?
2) DMS 4 EZi Lite or Pro S.E. installation instructions (not the manual from their website, that is garbage)
3) Failing the above, anyone know of a good installer around the midwest that is still modding after the I.C.E. incident

I just want to play the games I bought off a hard drive, I really hate the disc based media. I don't mind having a boot disc, but I need a modified one to run my 320gb H.D.D.

Again, thanks in advance, I will appreciate it if someone can answer. I don't know a smarter, more dedicated, GOOD group (other sites are just banner ads and pop-ups, or rip-off artists that scam scene groups, or both).

So yeah, thanks.

Thanks.

Now, I realize they are pieces of junk, but the setup is already in my PS2, and I said earlier that I don't have the time to mod it myself.

I'll look into the chip you mentioned, but that doesn't really do me a lot of good right now.

Thanks

I have tried a few other message boards, but no one else has been able to help. Does anyone know how the cables go for this chip?
