Qoob SX Disc read issues

Hi ,

I've installed a Qoob SX in my silver gamecube. However it's does not read most of my discs. The discs are okay as I used them for years at my old GC as well. I know that there are laser tweaks etc. But I do not want to go for that.

Is there a difference in the type of GameCube? Is one version better to modificate as other versions?

I have two gamecube`s - The purple one and the silver one. But both have issues reading discs (different types incl. Ritek G04 discs etc.)

Does any have an answer on what to do or on my question in bold?

You're disks are good, so that's not the problem.

Just tweak the pot, it's so easy to do.

Mine's been tweaked for over 3 years, still works and hasn't need to be retweaked.

ok ngc-scene people >newb> here i need to tweak pot because every dvd i've thrown cept Maxell DVD-R 8x, keep DRE-ing.....but i dont have a mutimeter...how many turns should i turn it....if thats a valid question :P or should i not risk it.
