Halfway through flashing my 360 hitatchi 47DH
i have it in mode B and windows has detected the device perfectly

I am using the 360FW toolbox 4.0 and i am trying to get the RAW dump to work as i am using my Mobo SATA to connect them together and not a PCI card nor a USB device.

When i insert the game it ejects it after 5 seconds and i cannot get the dump..

Did i do something wrong? or is there some sort of problem with the Mobo SATA cables?

i'm tempted to swap my SATA HDD cable with the xbox one to see if that helps

any help would be appreciated.
i have searched through the forums and found nothing concerning this error/problem

to keep the drive closed

eject it then press the eject button 3 times and it will remain closed

i just swapped wires around etc did some cleaning as the ATA cable slots where packed with dust(may have had connectivity issues).. and tried again this time it stayed shut(without me pressing 3 times) but still unable to read drive i even waited a few minutes
maybe it is the game i am using.. (DiRT) :P

the classic dump works fine btw

is it safe to continue with just the classic?

what are the benefits of RAW?

tbh i could never get raw to work always got cannot read from drive whether there was a game disc or dvd in the drive so i use classic never had one fail on me

but what i find sometimes more often than not actually is that my antivirus (nod32) and my teatimer (spybot) stops me from reading from the drive via toolbox and command prompt

so i boot to safe mode

try safe mode

I had the same problem with several drives. Found that I had to change my sata settings to non raid to get rid of the connot read from drive problem.

By the way, What is the differences and benfits of raw Vs classic dump?
