The people at mediacart have stolen the work from homebrew such as Licks Media Player, DSOrganize, and Moonshell. None of the source code has been released by mediacart which is required by the GPL which the programs were licensed under. To protest the sale of the MediaCart paste this into your signature:

PS: It really isn't php code, just vB code.

Not only that but they also took stuff from DSOrganise and Lick's Media Player (the iPod imitator)

They didn't just "take stuff" from my program. Literally their entire interface is based off of DSOrganize, and most of their PDA functionality, their homebrew booting functionality, and their ebook reader/voice recorder/pictureviewer/etc is all stolen verbatum from my code.

Update:
Check out their site. It looks like they took heed in Dragonminded's words. They are stopping the development until they can sort things out.

Interesting development. Looks like they're willing to cooperate, something that rather surprised me.

It seems they are willing to comply with licenses and are going to release full source, etc of their firmware. If this is the case then it should be fine to support them as they would be following the GPL.
