View Full Version : Wii Takes top spot from Xbox 360 in Germany

It has been revealed that the Wii is the new king of Germany. The Wii has sold a total of 291,000 units with 26,000 of those being sold in July. The Xbox 360 finds itself second with a total of 281,000 units sold and the PS3 has sold a total of 99,500 units.

Doesn't surprise me. At work, i'm the only one with a xbox 360 at this time, while 9 people (including me) have a wii.

Most hardcore gamers in germany play on the pc. on the console market, usually the most casual friendly wins.

germany seemed to get more stocks than anywhere else in europe, in the first 6 or 7 month after launch you could almost always order one from amazon.de and alot of people ordered from there and had them sent to the UK.

Gotta give props to Nintendo... who would have guessed the wii would be such a hit. I just wish i had more games to play on it. I want mario cart or galaxy. Those 2 games should keep wii sold out for another 6 months.

thats the only games that keep the wii alive! gamecube ports, games you finished 10 years ago, mini games, italian plumbers, elves, rolling tin balls
