Microsoft plans to make Xbox Live Arcade part of the Games for Windows Live initiative this holiday season. According to reports, MS will throw out a developer update for the games for Windows Live tools in preparation for XBLA games being released during the holiday period. However, it was not revealed what games would be available for the PC from the 360.

The Games For Windows Live initiative has only just gotten off the ground with Shadowrun and Halo 2 Vista, but Xbox Live Arcade, a key feature in the Xbox 360 feature set, is not yet part of the PC experience. During a mostly producer-focused panel at Gamefest 2007, 1UP learned Microsoft plans to rectify that this holiday season.

In November, Microsoft will roll out a developer update for their Games For Windows Live tools in anticipation of Xbox Live Arcade games rolling out in "holiday 07." The panel did not, however, reveal what games will make the leap from Xbox 360 to PC.

Are microsoft trying to kill the 360 as this added to the live on pc and so called exclusive games that are on pc aswell or coming to pc doesn't seem to give the right impression. The games here in the U.K. are nearly double in price for the 360 version compared to the pc so not a good to make these connections now most people have pc's and its quite cheap to buy new fast pc's. Even the 360 pad works with the pc so not the sort of build the 360 brand to be unique stratergy you would expect from a console manufacturer.

It leaves the question what do you need the 360 for that has been said already above, which is not what I was thinking before about the 360.
