Did I Just Scam Myself?

hey guys,
i had a 3rlod 360 premium, which i sold as a core on ebay.
now the 360 worked, but after an hour would just turn itself off and flash red.

heres my question.

even though ive kept the hard drive are my gamertag and card details still on the 360?

i assumed it was all on the hard drive, but a guy i work with, is saying otherwise!

the profile's on your hd as far as i'm aware since there's not enough room on any internal storage the console has.

the only thing stored on the xbox is the DRM which is the rights for arcade games
