There are homebrews to convert the psx saves to mcr other than cwcheat?

Nope, and cwcheat is the fastest imho. Anyway cwcheat doesnt convert saves, pay attention.
It just loads a virtual memorycard and from there you can save your game in the real save.
Its like Read.only -> Write.Read.

Ahh well it shouldn't brick.. but even if you are scared, cwcheat should work on 3.03 and so should ff7
