Problem with pmf files

I have created some icon pmf for my psone eboots but they are always too big which is a real pain. someone called p1ayer made a soul reaver pmf file that was 11 seconds long really gud detail and 206kb!!! while the one i made was 4 seconds long crap detail and is 1.95mb!!!!! wtf im i doin wrong plz someone help me :D

plus could someone make a proper guide to make them because the ones i found don't shave pics and don't make any sense lol soz for the the trouble im a bit of a noob:p

Edit your pmf to use fewer frames per second. Most video uses 25-30fps and you can usually stick with 15-20 without noticing any loss of smoothness which makes better quality frames and smaller files.

also, drop the kbs... the default is 1000 to 2000.... i use 100-250, depending on the vid length... i made a 34 second chrono trigger pmf at 498KB using 100-125 kbs. see it here http://forums.maxconsole.net/showpost.php?p=590641&postcount=1533

also, if your using sound... drop it to mono at 32kbps, it helps some too.... i have been able to squeeze about a minute of video to under 500k, but it looks like crap.

One more thing :D can u use a SND0.AT3 and a ICON1.pmf becuase it doesn't work for me
