Hi,
I installed my wiikey yesterday, first time it didnt work, then i reinstalled it, it worked, Then I tried to load the wiikey setup disk and it hanged, I restarted my wii, and then it wouldnt read any backups anymore, but it would read orirginals, now, 5 installs later, it wont read both backups as originals! :(
I am sure all the installs went fine, and I checked all installs with a multimeter... now when i put in a original it says 'Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting ' also, when i eject a disk, it is fully spitted out, so my game will fall on the floor... it is making a sound like it is loading the game, but then I get this error, so, please if you can... HELP ME!!!!
Thanks!:)

well, theres only one answer, remove the chip, check that you didnt melt off the pads, and re-install it, correctly this time

Well... i've done that 5 times already, and i checked the connections and pads ery carefully, so have i gotten a dead drive or can it be fixed by doing something else?
(it isnt working without the chip either:( )

actually it wasnt bricked... I just tweaked the lens and cleanes the drive with some alcohol and for some reason the wii is working fine again, EVEN THE WIIKEY WORKS.... and its all clean.....( why say it is a botched install if you havent even seen it?.. it a very clean install)

Hey Bram,

I am basically at the same point you were at... all my pads are alright and nothing else looks bridged. I have a feeling there is something wrong with the laser... I am going to try to do what you did, any input is welcome

here is a link to my thread, if you have any other ideas let me know, I will be upload a picture shortly of my "BOTCHED ATTEMPT FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES"
