QOOB Pro Disk Problem

I just installed my QOOB Pro modchip in my gamecube revision A. First of all, QOOB will not let me use my wave-bird controller for some reason and for some reason, the DVD drive won't spin and it says on the qoob bios screen that there is no disk media (when there is) and it says that there is no disk when using the original bios. How can I fix these problems? The power is fine and I hear the laser moving when I first start up the gamecube if that helps.

Have you installed the most recent update?

The updates from the official site don't play copied games.

I have used the most recent updates but the disk I put in was one that was not copied or anything else. In fact, it was actually ORIGINAL! I also put in an MP3 cd and it wouldn't play either.
