Hi,
I just placed a High speed cooler in my xbox 360,
the problem is that the temperature is getting to 50 degrees after one minute of playtime:confused:
I thought maybe one of you knows what the problem is?
Thanks.

I think thats quite normal mine did that, what settings have you got on it......you can adjust it.
By the way have you got the xcm cooler rigged to your dvd drive??
If you have... DONT!, it killed my samsung drive after 6 weeks of use...was working great until i installed the xcm cooler.

Hi,
yes I have it ragged to my dvd drive, but is there a other way to connect it?
and I have the settings on maximum, and even with the maximum settings its getting to 50 degrees in about 2 minutes:eek:
And from what i have read on other websites is that 50 degrees is way too hot:confused:

Hi
This link will provide you with the details on how to get power from the board rather than the dvd drive..

could be a fair bit of soldering involved....

Hi,
I looked there, but is it possible to solder the fans to the 4 pins power plug, where the standard fans got the power from?
also, is there a way to keep it under 50 degrees? cause I bought it to keep the 360 cool, but it looks like it only got hotter after i installed the high speed air cooler:(

Hi
I scoured the net, and I cant find anything about connecting your fans to the 4 port power point, I suspect that you cant.
I did read that some people are having no problems with the xcm fans connected to the drive......while others it was causing problems.
maybe i was unlucky!!
when I had the fans installed mine ran at 45-50, i thought that was normal........
hopefully someone on these forums can give us their input on the matter....
