Please use the latest M33 NO-UMD patch: M33 NO-UMD (http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=70256).
Remember to set UMD Mode to "M33 driver -NO UMD-"!

after enabling the "updated" no-UMD" plugin crush no longer works.. bummer.. also I have issues with lumines 1.. sometimes it just freezes when some blocks mark themselfs to dissapear.... and also VirtuaTennis 3 no longer works.. although all these 3 games works fine with regular no-umd.. .. so its a mixed bag.. some games works.. some that worked are now broken.. work in progress I guess :D

Mokyurin's three steps to check if your iso is clean iso.
You need Offlinelist program which lists up all the games which were released.

and Advanscene PSP clean dump list
http://www.advanscene.com/offline/datas/ADVANsCEne_PSP.zip
install Offlinelist and launch it.

1.then Press DAT button on middle bottom of the Offlinelist screen.
2.Press import and let it read PSP Advanscene list. Now you should have whole PSP list.
3.Tools-Options-Renamer-Enable Use Renamer and Browse where your iso is.
(iso can be zipped or rared for make it smaller but do not use cso)
And you should see your owned iso should be highlighted if it's clean dump.
if it's not clean dump, the game name will not be highlited and game may crash while playing.

One thing important
Lexar memstick have some problem with NO-UMD and loading prx.
So, some people who have Lexar memstick suffers game could not be loaded
even the compatibility thread tells you the game is working perfectly.

So, Stay away from Lexar memstick if you haven't bought it.

I don't remember the OE NO-UMD being updated since 2.71 or so; there's a thread for 2.71 OE NO-UMD compatibility. Can I use that and assume that the same results will happen using the OE NO-UMD mode with 3.51 M33?

Yeah, its different than 2.71 (not as good).
The easiest way is to just test the games that don't work with m33 in OE isofs legacy mode. That way we can have a current list of what appears to be a very small list of games that dont work with noumd m33.

WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007 works woohoo... but still has the problem of freezing halfway thru entrances if using a full version.... god damn game has never worked fully in any custom firmware... i think the only thing u can play the full game in without glitch is good ol devhook... i hope 1 day sum1 fixes this problem :(

hmm, DJMax Portable 2 didn't work if NO-UMD is Disabled.

Yes, this thread will keep up with the current version of NO-UMD. I got rid of the V2/V3 tagging system and all the "Not Working" games are currently in question. Seeing as most of the popular games are fixed with this new update, I'm sure most of them listed under "Not Working" will be, too. Just need someone with those games to test it.

Psypher, you should remember in the first page to people to use iso filenames less than 54 chars. I remember to have had an ugly black screen at first with socom fireteam bravo 2 with a very big filename, then i just called the file socom2.iso and it worked :D

warum sollte es net auch auf deutsch gehen ist immerhin dafür ausgelegt. mmh mit englisch klappts dann.was für ne scheiss version die deutsch/englisch ist aber net mit deutsch klappt

Works 100% ok so far @ 2.5 hr's & got to 'ad libem' status.
Excellent little game & combat is very sweet - playing as a warrior & tempest strike is awesome. :D

If all else fails maybe reinstall M33 FW :confused:

About Cabela's African Safari: Is it the full ISO dump or ripped?
This game, since its release last year, is the only one(!) game reported not working in .iso/.cso format even in UMD mode...;)
A modified .iso was made by a known release group in order to make it playable!
My main PC is under maintenance, so I can't confirm this...:(
If confirmed this, then the Sony loader rulez...:p

Bearbr - though you might like to know Harry Potter & the order of the phoenix works with the NP9660 no UMD setting. I'm using that setting as it appears to have better compatability than the M33 driver (at the moment).

put your iso/cso files in "ms0:\ISO\"
run under Games\Memory Stick in the XMB
the M33 No-UMD Driver is a driver selectable in the recovery mode (hold R + Power On), or if running 3.52 M33-3 hit HOME in the XMB for a quick driver switch. So far I've had about a 0% compatibility with the Sony NP9660 driver, and near 100% with the M33, so default settings should be fine. Word of warning, don't install M33 update 3 if you downloaded it from ps3news. It will brick your psp. Get the update from pspupdates.qj.net or pspx.ru

the M33 No-UMD Driver is a driver selectable in the recovery mode (hold R + Power On), or if running 3.52 M33-3 hit HOME in the XMB for a quick driver switch. So far I've had about a 0% compatibility with the Sony NP9660 driver, and near 100% with the M33, so default settings should be fine. Word of warning, don't install M33 update 3 if you downloaded it from ps3news. It will brick your psp. Get the update from pspupdates.qj.net or pspx.ru

Also: How exactly do you apply this update, cuz when I extract the rar file(M33-1234.rar) I get this GAME150 folder and inside is the eboot update. On my PSP however I only have this folder listed PSP\GAME. Sorry for being so stupid about this. I read the readme but no instructions just list of things that were included in this update.

Not a bluff, it bricked my psp, and I would assume hundreds of others. luckily it was 30 days since i bought it. I was unaware of the scene drama going on and got caught. it's the same update everywhere, but ps3news did hexedit the eboot to remove the anti-ps3news screen.

Yep I got working now by creating the ISO folder on my PSP and copying iso into that folder. But I only have a small ms and always used the usbhostfs to load iso that I store on my pc. Is there a way to play it like that with the settings I currently have on my PSP ?

I don't know if usbhostfs works standalone with m33, i know usbhost and nethost are both available with a program called irshell. irshell 3.60+ is m33 compatible, www.irshell.org

i would buy a memory stick and see if they work off of that. i have several .cso image files and they all work flawlessly.
2gb is like 25 bucks on ebay.

also, you have to set the autoboot .prx file to enable in the recovery menu "R + Power on" then go to plug-ins and enable. then it will autoboot.

UMD Normal = checks the UMD drive for the disc, does not load if disc is not found
M33/Sony NP9660 Drivers = Actual copy of UMD is not verified, loads from .iso/.cso

so basically, that's probably why your backups aren't working. I have a 100% compatibility right now with 3.52 M33-4 with the M33 No-UMD Driver.

Well, my nfs carbon said "game could not be started (80020148)"
bleach 3 doesn't crash, but it doesn't load either, but when i try to go back 2 xmb, it reboots (i guess that's what you call it) the psp.
as for ratchet and clank, it gives the same message as nfs carbon, except it says 80020130 instead of 48.

To play ratchet and clank the CPU speed needs to b3 266mhz, also I know for a fact that NFS carbon works Ive played it myself on 3.71m33-2, make sure its not a ripped version of the game, and make sure its in ISO format cuz cso lags alot, I dunno about bleach 3.sounds like you have ripped versions of the games and someone ripped the wrong files out. and thats why they wont load

How about upgrading to 3.71 M33, patch it to 3.71 M33-3 and install the 1.50 Kernel Addon if your on a phat? (Don't forget to run it in Kernel 3.XX mode)

edit: tried streetfighter alpha 3 max, and it didn't run. It worked before when I used my friend's memory stick, so I figure it could be caused by the memory stick I'm using. (I need confirmation on that). Most asian memory stick won't run the games probably.

make sure the iso u downloaded is completed. Also file gets corrupted from copying if you don't have a good memo stick.

I decieded to play Free Running and everybodys golf again, games ive play before without a problem, i loaded them to my iso folder and went to play them to find them not there under the game menu? Its wired because other games work like medal of hounor and pes 6 work. It also register's as is shows the correct memory.

format the mem stick through windows. then format through the psp so you have the folders made for you. put ur files in the "iso" folder and you should be good to go.

PoPoLoCrois running with fw 3.90 m33-2 on slim psp. Everything works until it reached Bryonia during the coversation with Sabo. I've tried different US releases on bt and tried m33 no cd, sony no cd and Oe no cd on the recovery memu, and all of them have the same problem.

On UMD, ISO FS and M33 the music randomly disappears but on Sony NP9660 the music is there but the gameplay is slow as hell!

I recently fudged up my UMD drive, and for the life of me I can't figure out what. I am still playing with it to fix it.But those new M33 drivers seem to work with every game I tried them with. If I just remove my UMD drive, will my PSP still work? Will it cause any problems in the future? Like, could newer ISO's not work with those drivers? I was just thinking, since the UMD drive is so much of the wieght, and takes up a lot of space, I could actually make a really sweet memory card tray back there.
