Hi!

I've been reading this and other forums as well as 5th's guide to find out if theres a slot1 card for the NDSlite that plays both GBA and NDS images and Homebrews properly.

I'm pretty new to this so if you could help, I'd really appreciate.

I thank you in advance!

There is no way for a slot-1 card to launch GBA games at all. However, if you get a slot-1 device, you can get the EZ-V 3in1 expansion pack for about $20 that will give you GBA compatibility fairly cheaply.

The CycloDS Evolution is supposed to be able to, but I'm not sure...

I find that a R4 + EZFlash 3-in-1 works great for my needs.

The CycloDS Evolution probably words things in a confusing manner. There is no way to launch a GBA file directly from slot-1 at all. Cannot be done unless someone makes a GBA emulator/virtualizer or something.

Keep in mind the original CycloDS products were slot-2 devices with GBA compatibility (actually clones of the Supercard), so maybe that's the source of the confusion.

Thank guys that settles it then.

So what's soooo revolutionary about slot1 devices? The way I see it slot2 devices play everything the others do plus GBA roms.

Slot1 devices count as pros having larger internal memory and faster access speeds, right?

and on slot 2's you have to patch the games before putting them on the card.
