Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has any good video demonstrations they can link to? Youtube has very slim pickings when it comes to videos edited with the Go Edit software. I'm thinking of getting the camera but want to see all the different effects you can edit it with. Thanks :)

i havn't got one that shows effects as such, but:-

I made this timpe-lapse video. well, go edit sofware only lets u take 15 seconds at a time, so this was four clips, and then exported to avi, and edited togther on the pc, and i added music.

just a very simple clip, first attempt.

That looks great! Does the camera itself record in AVI or did you mean its converted to AVI by Sony Vegas? Unfortunately I don't have that program, but I'd love to find one that can edit stills together like that. Time lapse photography is so great. As soon as I get my camera and some kind of editing software I'm going to try that on my local high street. Imagine all the cars and people going around in super fast motion... :)

The Gocam cam is very bullshit.. very very bad picture quality.. my eyes burnt after looking to a pic which was shot with a gocam cam, i wont buy it if i were you.

hey buddy

basically the go edit software saves the clips as its own native format, which u can load up and view via the software - but it give u the option to save as avi (with the motion jpeg codec i think) which u can also play on ur psp from the xmb (as it saves it in a new folder called GO_EDIT in the normal VIDEO folder) and then u can move these avi's to ur pc to mess about with. the files are around 8 megs

but when i used them on the pc i converted them in to uncompressed avi's (to around 170 meg), so i could edit them easier on Vegas, and, because for some reason it wasn't showing the image of the video if i used the avi's copied str8 from the PSP. (i think it was to do with the codec of those files).

but yea, i will try and use it more and do more timelapse vids of cooler subjects! the highstreet would be a good one.

the go edit software lets u do a few different timings for the timp-lapse. like around 3.75mins (0.5 sec interval shots), 7.5mins (1 sec interval shots), 75mins (10 sec interval shots) or 225mins (30 sec interval shots).

if i make more i'll drop u the links.

the pic quailty isn't the greatest yes. but bare in mind its only really designed for fun, and for the pics to be viewed on the psp screen, so huge resolutions are pointless.

if someone wanted great quailty, u buy a digital camera. this is just a fun gimick.

Now that there is a camera for the PSP maybe they could do some portable EyeToy style games.
