I have a 1gb scandisk memory disk pro duo it works perfectly fined with the PSP ISO games. I have the 3.40 OE A firmware.

But i recently purchased the Sony 4gb memory disk pro duo and I reformated the memory disk with PSP but when I try to load ISO games with the new 4gb memory stick I'm only able to load the Intro of the game and the PSP will turn off.

Any suggestion on whats going on and how to fix this. Wierd:confused:

it may be a fake one. where did you buy it from?? on the psp xmb(menu screen) go to video and on the memory stick press △ and then information. see if magic gate is "supported"

This is intruiging... One of my friends has the exact same problem, he also uses 3.40oe. He can run PSX eboots perfectly from a 2gb sandisk memory card but just got a sony 4gb card and is now unable to run them. He doesn't get an intro though. He gets a blue screen that says "unable to run, data is corrupted" or something like that. He's tried deleting the eboots and re-transferring them but they won't load. Other files like wma's, mp3's, and DVD rips of 24 all play normally.

Is it technically possible for Sony to add some kind of protection to the latest range of 4gb memory cards? I didn't think that was possible on just a memory stick. For the record, my friend did buy his memory stick from eBay but it was brand new when it arrived and apparently "factory sealed."

I had one of the 4gb cards from e-bay, discovered it would only hold about 1.8gb of data....Might explain why your friend can't play the eboot you mention, if he already has other data on the card i.e music, photo's or video it might already be maxed out?
Try a write test on your pc, see how much data can be transfered between the two without any lost data. Like I said, mine was 1.8gb even though windows said the card was 3.6 ish..:(

i had the nearly same problem last days...

your card is fake... take an orginal one or give it to seller and take 2+2 ,, 2 gbs havent got any problem they were very old than 4gb so a fake 2 gb works perfectly try this...

its a suggestion but there is no problem about your psp..

i can give u any tips may be these are works

try format ms : format x:/fs:fat32/a:32k/q
/fs:fat16
/fs:fat

x: your psp's drive or ms drive

It looks like you guys bought some FAKE memory cards or the are not supported by Sony Famous PSP. I have a Sandisk 4gb, and it works fine. I bought it in bestbuy.
