Tony Blair has become the latest high profile figure to slam Sony over their portrayal of the Manchester Cathedral of the FPS title Resistance: Fall of Man. When asked about his thoughts on the matter during a weekly question time, Blair commented that companies such as Sony need to be more responsible and think about more than just making profits.

At a weekly question time a member of parliament from Manchester asked the Prime Minister about his thoughts on the matter, especially given the high level of gun crime in Manchester.

Blair commented that Sony needs to be more sensitive and responsible and that large companies, such as Sony, should pause to think about more than just making profits. (handbags are drawn... - Ed.)

Sony has consistently refused to comment on the issue and has said only that they are liaising directly with the Church of England on the matter.

Fuhck Tony Blair in the goat ass! God forsaken prick of a hypocrite. Why doesn't he condemn all of the Oil companies and his own government for all of the profiteering and warmongering that has brought this world one step closer to oblivion.

Shame on him for even uttering a breath about this row. Go into your disgraced retirement with at least a modicum of class and keep from opening that silver tongued lying trap of yours in the hopes that we will not think you are the worst PM in history.

Phone conversation:

"Mr. Kettle, there is a PM Pot on the phone for you."

Later,

Alex

I actually watched this as I love the banter of prime ministers questions and if you take it as he said it, he came across on the fence about these things and just quickly said what he said as if someone had wrote it and not that he was interested or had a real view. Especially as his kids have a ps3 they bought in florida last year on holiday so probably have the game lol.

Leaving office end of the month. needs to make labour look good for the last 8 years of ruin. Tony just needs to meet an insurgent im sure he'd see games as a worthy alternative then

Who voted him out then? Because he has stepped down, maybe with pressure to go a little earlier than he wanted as he would have gone next year out of own choice, but no vote was done.

Tony Blair is a very strict catholic, just remember that when you wonder why he even comments.

Yeah, churches are totally responsible and not at all about raising money. Their lawyers saw a best-selling game, watched a video on Youtube with that level, and connected the dots.

thought it was Tony Blair's wife that was a strict catholic, and he just tagged along...

I think for the time that is spent in (alledged) Manchester Cathedrel in the game, there is alot of fuss being made about nothing... especially when there are some dodgy vicars nocking around in the churches doing far worse than just playing with a computer game... they are just sick in the head!

There are millions of people who'd never even know Manchester existed as anything other than a soccer team, or had a cathedral...if it weren't for this game. They should be happy with the free publicity and stfu.

It's not like Sony is presenting the church as anything but a structure in a real-world location.

The cathedral in manchester is Anglican (church of england) and its illegal for a british prime minister to be catholic still thats why rumours say he will become catholic like his wife when he stands down from the commons at the next election. So blair ain't catholic.

I'd have thought that people religious enough to be offended by this wouldn't be playing video games involving killing aliens anyway, so who's being offended?
