I've been reading various threads and I keep getting confused on how to make a stealth backup. Right now all of the backups I have were made using Xbox Backup Creator and when I burned them I selected the .dvd file to burn. Now does this mean that all my backups are already stealth or was there something else that needed to be done to make them stealth? I haven't really been able to find a straight answer on this. Thanks.

If you used XBC yourself to make the backup from your original then it is stealthed. XBC always stealths any images it makes. You can check by reading the backup again and scanning the iso with the stealth checker in XBC.

But does XBC make 100% stealth backups including the right video partitions and does it check for bad SS ??

This is what I also want to know. That is why I was confused. I wanted to know if my backups that were made from original discs using XBC are 100% stealth.

yep we need new soft for 1.2 version because none of the ones that exists can give 100% that the games is good for 1.2.

xdvdmulleter 9 by blacksheep is being released soon, this will be able to tell you if your backups are made correctly.

The SS, PFI, and DMI will never be bad. The are ripped from your original disc, ergo being perfect. It patches the video correctly on layer 0. There is a lot of discussion over if the video needs ot be present on layer 1 as well but as for now, iXtreme emulates the video on layer 0, in layer 1 when checked. You can put the video on layer 1 using XBC but it's better not to when using iXtreme.
As said, xDVDMulleter will be out soon that should be able to make all checks on bad pfi/dmi sectors, bad stealth etc and tell you if the image will work.
