I didn't know I couldn't put an attachment. I'm usually inside psp hacker forums and we share most of the files there. Oh well unless its ok i'll remove it for now. Anyhow its out on xbins so go get it i'm all flashed and running. Playing live as we speak!!!

i have a feeling alot of the ones where I have inserted the video sector after may have a problem. Because video sectors come in different sizes.

well... thats a user based site with no legitimate info. it's already out on xbins and if you read on, a handful of people have already flashed it. :)

im seriously considering rolling back to 1.0 since i cant play any of my games, each one gives me the "to play this game put it in an xbox 360" nonsense

edit: but now that im looking at the comments in xbox sky, since one guy says that all his backups are working, i'm beginning to think i did something wrong.

hmmmm sounds like the video sectors might have been inserted after into your images. I think this is what this update fixed. Pretty annoying and im not sure its going to be checked, it isnt being checked for at the moment anyway.

edit: and from what I understand this just stops these games from booting, so extreme 1 is the same really, just dont play those games on live and get full rips of the ones you want to.

That seems odd as he seems to be saying all of his games work :S or that maybe it didnt work with all the corruped ones but did with the correct ones.

It looks like it's mainly something to do with the video file either being incorrect, or in the wrong location. Maybe it now checks for it to be present on both layers? Can use XBC to sort that using splitvid.

if all of his games work, stealth, unstealth and corrupt video then hes flashed 5.3 by mistake lol. If hes sayin that the firmware does what he expects and rejects those with corrupt info then you may have bad backups...

never! my backups were amazing. they all worked perfectly with xtreme 1.0. ughh looks like i have to burn (technically and wastefully) some more DL dvds later...

lol well since this firmware only prevents games from booting and doesnt actually change any checks, then im probably just gonna scan all my games before burning for stealth and video errors then just use em on xtreme 1.

smart move... and i'm going to wait until i get some more verdicts from other people before i decide if i want to keep this 1.2 (and if i somehow made it defective or not) or flash back to 1.0

I think maybe its your backups, I just tried all of mine and the only ones that didn't work were the ones that iXtreme 1 wouldn't boot either (they contained no stealth files whatsoever)

can i flash back to the orig.bin using iprep? if not, what program do i use?

ive been trying to reflash since im not confident if i did it properly, and if i type 'iDump xxxxxxx xxxxx' it gives me an error about my orig.bin not having the right amount of keys. is it necessary to do iDump before iFlash with an already hacked console?

edit: let me clarify, i originally only did the iFlash and all 4 banks went ok... but im not sure if i was supposed to do iDump first... maybe thats why my backups arent working

Everytime I have backed up, I read before flashing, even if it was custom firmware. The read injects the key into the hacked firmware, so if you just flashed the key won't of been injected.

Reflash your orig.bin then do iRead, and iFlash to flash ix 1.2.

I can't play crackdown anymore... sad day. 1.2 has more strict security measures. I was playing crackdown one 1.0, and now that i've reflashed to 1.2, it says insert this disc into a 360 console... wtf is that lol

I have a ms28 dvd-drive with xtreme 5.1, not banned.. Im trying to upgrading to iXtreme1.0. I have a Via motherboard with VT8237R chipset and im also using xecuter connectivity kit.
My problem is that i get the error: 51 should be 70... What am i doing wrong.
do i have to recover the orig.bin first or can i just upgrade it? I used the latest xtreme boot maker with iXtreme 1.0 support to make a bootable USB drive... when i type "xflash" i get two options:
1 - XTREME pri master
2 - VIA 8237 pri master
then i press 1 and it says
"Port: 9f0, Master/Slave: a0"
then i press ESC an it says
"51 should be 70" and sometimes "70 should be 80"

Can some one help me.. Im very new to this.

you're supposed to turn off your console before pressing 1. then wait around 10 seconds after pressing 1 and turn it back on without pressing anything else.... this is called the ms28 bad flash method. it's really the best way to flash a drive.

edit: if you haven't recovered your original to make a firmware to flash on already, run samread before running samhack (sorry, used to samtools... i don't know the xflash but try xread first?)

i have already done xread on the orig.bin i have from the time i did flash to 5.1. I will try this but i am using a connectivity kit how do i turn off power on it should i just deatach the power and then put it back??

update: it turns out i was using an old copy of XBM that's why i couldnt figure out how to reflash back to my orig.bin. well i updated it, flashed back to orig.bin, then reflashed to xtreme 1.2! now all my backups are properly working again!

honestly, i've never used a connectivity kit. I just run my cable straight to the drive from a PCI Via 6421 card... You may want to ask someone who knows more about connectivity kits

in my ix1.0 version all my backups work, less the old ones, the first games that get out, so i start repairing some of this games with mulleter, i made 6 game repairs, all ok and tested, when i flashed to 1.2 version, some that were working already stealthy like spiderman 3 and crackdonw dont work now, and of the six games i have repair inserting correct video and stealth, 2 not work, no i think we need a new mulleter for this new checks, i think 1.2 version check SS with video too and maybe this is the problem. i will wait for a new mulleter because this beta 8 will give you all ok but the image could not work in the x360.

Use the enable 0800 disk to unlock the drive. (connect/power up, press pause break button on keyboard to pause boot, put 0800 disc in, wait 10-20 seconds for it to read the security sector, eject) otherwise you will be a looong time as the x5.1 firmware has FirmGuard! to protect from reading/writing.

I'm personally still using the

mtkflash with read and write commands.

It's old skool, but imho it's the only way to be certain every time you're doing it right.

Mtkflash to dump.... then take memory stick out and put into another PC, patch the firmware, compare keys using toolbox to ensure it's a. O.K, take stick out put back in PC 1 and use mtkflash to write new firmware.

I know all the tools would seem to make it easier and quicker, but having flashed countless 360's this method is virtually flawless. I've always used the Xecuter connectivity kit to flash drives as well (for power only in terms of Sammy's).
Pretty simple, can do it blindfolded.

As far as backups go, I've found none so far that worked with V1 that don't work with V1.2
