Current Aussie Xbox DVD question

ok looking at getting a 360 with in a week or 2 now and i just want to know if i were to walk into wherever the hell i decide to buy it from what sort of DVD rom would i get and more to the point will i be able to hack the thing.

you will get whatever is inside it,basicly if they sell fast in australia then they get new stock from ms.

chances are you will probably get an hitachi.

they dont manufacture them with samsung any more.
