Is there nothing that can be done to a 3.11 firmware?

If only I had chosen to play Spectral Souls before Aedis Eclipse..... *cries*

Basically, for those who don't know about Spectral Souls.. it has horrible loading and slowdown due to UMD reading. You pretty much have to play it from the memory stick if you don't want a 3 minute battle to last a half hour.

Naturally, I learned of this too damn late. I don't really want to buy a new PSP which may have 3.11 on it anyway...

There are downgraders for everything up to 3.03 but 3.10 and 3.11 are decrypted but no downgrader yet... no ETA on when those will be released either.

Is there nothing I can do at all besides wait and hope for one?

Well there is 1 way. U have to hard mod the psp. It means u have to have ur psp opened up and modified. There is a guy in singapore who can do it. I paid $85 it. he downgraded my 3.11 to 1.5 and upgraded it to 3.30 oe. :) Got to know him after looking through yahoo auctions.

Its not a software downgrade. its a modification done to the mother board.

Good news for people like yourself. An exploit has just been found in the higher firmwares meaning that a new downgrader is right around the corner!
