If recent rumours are to be believed, Nintendo could be planning to reveal Mario Kart on Wii this July at E3. The rumours that have originated from Jeux France also include release dates being laden on Smash Bros and Mario Galaxy. Lets hope!

This woud be the only reason i get a Wii, if i decide to get one... i hope its true :)

it would be logical for Nintendo to release this about 6 months after mario galaxy, so even if it is true, i dont think we will be seeing it for at least a year.

Hey what have you got against fellow Italian-country-man Mario?;)

What you need is a generic kart racing game with no added artificial Mario or preservatives.

As Mario Kart's been a staple since the initial SNES release (Still waiting for that one on Virtual Console... sigh...), it can only be assumed there will be an iteration for the Wii, hopefully w/ very responsive Wii steering & control!

Race games just do not suit the wii controller and holding the controller sideways and up in front of you just feels no good either and more twitchy than getting used to a steering wheel controller.

Theres a gunshell for the wiimote coming soon, so I would expect a steering wheel shell too (not that ubisoft ****). Just for a laugh, I got the wiimote + glovepie and tried it out on Flatout for PC. It was Ok, not as bad as I thought, then I taped it to my logitech wheel and it was miles better. So now I'm convinced all the Wiimote needs is a steering wheel shell and it'll be perfect for those types of games.

Good because I have that ubisoft 1 and it is pathetic and does not improve the controls at all, thank goodness it was free with 4x4.
