SNES Emulator- cant get to run

I have a Japanese PSP TA082 at 3.40OE

I used the Ultimate Emulators sticky from these forums.

I downloaded the latest snes9xTYL 0.4.2 ME and put the 1.5 directories into the GAME150 folder.
I put some unzipped ROMS in the ROMS folder.

My homebrew kernal is set to the GAME150 in the Recovery console.

I have no other plugins, homebrew, etc on the MS- just the SNES emulator.

I see the icon for the emulator and I select it. I get the white PSP screen, then it flashes to black. then the PSP is hung, with the green power light is on- so i have to reboot.


So, ive been searching and reading, but cant find what to change or add, if anything.

I even put in individual zipped ROMS instead of the unzipped ROMS, but same thing (didnt think that would work anyway.



p.s.
I put the Genesis emulator on into GAME150. it works fine with unzipped ROMS- zipped ROMS it just sits there and says loading forever (or would it eventually unzip?)

sounds like the emu is corrupted.
redownload.
dont forget to format your memory stick.

the ms is a 2gb sony.

it was formatted in the PSP by the 3.40oe firmware, so it has the game150 folder.

are you referring to a different format method?

He means that memsticks can act up if they have not been formatted in a while so it's always worth trying it.

I would try a different download of the emulator just to be sure it's not that. Also have a play with the region hack in the recovery menu as it's a jap psp as that might help.

tried fake region America.

tried user and then me versions in GAME , then moved to GAME150.

all combinations of version or directory, I select it, get white psp screen, black, white, black and hung. responds to reboot on on/off switch only.
